Nemia L. Schulte graduated from Georgetown Law Center, Washington, D.C., in 1990. She represented her first client over thirty years ago while she was an associate at a law firm in Chicago, Illinois, the then-largest law firm in Chicago with more than 400 attorneys. Three years later, she was admitted to practice law in the State of California where she was an associate for prestigious law firms before moving to Florida.
In 1997, Nemia passed the Florida Bar, which was her third State Bar, and started the practice she has today. Working hard, she built her practice upon specialties like personal and consumer litigation, business and bankruptcy law, corporate litigation and real estate law including property closings. As a sole practitioner, she handles all aspects of her clients’ cases, from the initial interview to preparing all legal documents and discovery to attending all court hearings and depositions. Her clients range the spectrum of economic classes, from those who are closing on multi-million dollar transactions to those filing for bankruptcy. She has handled cases all across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties from her South Florida office.
From 2001 to 2017, Nemia served as a Traffic Court Hearing Officer for Broward County Courts. She took great pride in that she was legally subjected to a higher standard of ethics than most of her fellow attorneys. In addition, she is a Certified Arbitrator for Broward County Courts. She was also the former Chairwoman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee in which she voluntarily served for three years.
Admitted to practice in the United States District Court in Florida, California and Illinois, as well as the Federal Court of Appeals for various Circuits, Nemia previously served as either a president or board member of many South Florida legal organizations, including the North Broward Bar Association and the Broward County Women’s Lawyer Association.
Nemia is an active member of the South Florida community where she is a resident. For three years she served as the President of the Pompano Piranhas Swim Team and for the past 15 years has been serving on its board. For the past 10 years, she has served as the President of the Pompano Beach Junior Lifeguard Association. For the past five years she has also served as the Team Mom for both the Pompano Beach High School Swim Team and Water Polo Team.
Nemia is the proud mother of five, is married to a local HEAD START elementary school teacher, and lives in South Florida.
